The following KITS do not include transfer blocks, dops, index gears, etc. which are normally included with the purchase of Faceting Machines.  
We provide dopping instructions which utilize the epoxy, super glue, and acetone method.

STARTER KITS
Any one of the starter kits listed below will provide all of the items necessary to shape and polish facets of stones under a mohs hardness of 7-1/2. We suggest you start with quartz. It can be Rock Crystal, Citrine, Smokey, or Amethyst.

with a corrosion resistant copper undercoating and have a 1/2" arbor hole.



ADVANCED KIT
The Advanced Kit is to be used in conjunction with a Starter Kit for stones having a mohs hardness greater than 7-1/2. Instead of a mylar disc for polishing, a ceramic lap is used. The ceramic lap must be prepared carefully for it to function properly.

Polishing Laps: Once you have mastered quartz type gemstones, try the other stones that are under a mohs hardness of 7-1/2.   Some stones may require different polishing laps, different grit size of DYNALAPS, and or various Ultralaps to obtain better rersults.   The polishing mediums could be of Aluminum Oxide, Chrome Oxide, Tin Oxide, etcetera if diamond imprgnated mylar does not work as well.
"Ultralap" is a Trademark of Moyco Precision Coated Abrasives and is subject to availablility

"Attack" This is a propriatory formula consisting of Acetone which is preferred by some facetors over store bought acetone.    "Attack; has to be sent via ground service because of its volatile nature.
